Jafar is a commander in the Demihuman Liberation Front. Attempting to bring an end to generations of discrimination against demihumans, Jafar fights daily to attain equal rights for demihumans. While Jafar himself seeks peaceful coexistence with the humans, there are those in the Front with more hardline views, which leads at times to clashes within the organization. During the Demihuman Liberation War, Jafar's brother also fought alongside him, but he has since left the cause and become a knight in the human world. Jafar's feelings on this are understandably mixed.
