Jade Collar (ヒスイのカラー, Hisui no Karā?) is a recurring accessory in the Final Fantasy series that originates from Final Fantasy XII. It protects the wearer from damage in some manner.

Jade Collar is an accessory that increases the user's evasion by 30% and enables parrying. When the character takes a hit, the game checks against the equipped shield first, then the equipped weapon, and finally the parry chance from the collar. If all checks fail, the hit connects. The menu misleadingly just shows one Evasion stat that simply sums all different types of evasion.

Jade Collar is an accessory for Ashe, obtainable from the shop for 24,000 gil after completing Chapter 8. It enables the ability Full Protection, which increases the group's Stamina and Mind while Ashe's HP is at full.

Etymology[]
Jade is an ornamental rock. The term jade is applied to two different metamorphic rocks that are made up of different silicate minerals. Nephrite can be found in a creamy white form (known in China as "mutton fat" jade) as well as in a variety of greens, whereas jadeite shows more colour variations, including blue, lavender-mauve, pink, and emerald-green. Of the two, jadeite is rarer. Translucent emerald-green jadeite is the most prized variety.
