J'moldva is a non-player character in Final Fantasy XIV.

History

Final Fantasy XIV (version 1.0)

Greinfarr and J'moldva battle at the Coliseum.

J'moldva became the first Ala Mhigan to fight at the Coliseum in Ul'dah. She quickly attained fame for her victories as "The Hellfire Phoenix," almost winning the title of champion in a battle with Greinfarr. J'moldva's triumph was sacrificed, however, to quell the fury of the crowd during a fight that grew out of hand. After that, she swore to never again take up sword or spear for sport. Though defeated before she could attain the title, numerous Ala Mhigans followed in her footsteps, and the proceeds of their victories have aided the nation's many refugees. Following her retirement from gladiatorial combat, J'moldva joined the Wood Wailers of Gridania, among whom she remained until sometime after the Calamity.

Once the adventurer joins the Lancers' Guild, J'moldva explains about the Wood Wailers functions and tasks him with some missions. Since Gridania has no hope of opposing the Garlean Empire alone, J'moldva asks the adventurer to travel to the Platinum Mirage in Ul'dah in hopes of forming an alliance. The adventurer meets Dreues, an Ala Mhigan who sympathizes with the situation and promises to take the offer to the guild's elite. Back in Gridania, J'moldva orders the adventurer to protect a caravan of Ul'dahn merchants in distress on the Twelveswood to Gridania. Later J'moldva warns that the adventurer's efforts to forge an alliance with Ul'dah have failed and asks the adventurer to escort the caravan on their way back to Ul'dah. The caravan attempts to kidnap a moogle and they are saved by the adventurer right before they suffer the Greenwrath. Although moogle complains about saving the merchants, J'moldva says that punishing them would only tarnish Gridania's reputation and harm future alliances between the city-states.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

J'moldva in A Realm Reborn.

After the Calamity, J'moldva decided to put fighting behind her forever. J'moldva anonymously orders a sword as a gift for Greinfarr at Naldiq & Vymelli's. Despite not meeting directly with Greinfarr, J'moldva leaves a message for him to identify the sender and she only listens in hiding when he receives the sword.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood

J'moldva's fighting spirit returns when she meets the young half-Garlean/half-Ala Mhigan Arenvald Lentinus. Thus risen from her ashes, the Hellfire Phoenix seeks the liberation of her homeland as an ally to the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and the Ala Mhigan Resistance, fighting alongside Arenvald and V'mah Tia in a battle far more meaningful than any she encountered on the bloodsands.
