The unit can move without being detected. Initiating an action will remove the effect, as will the mystic's Harmony ability.
Description (The War of the Lions)
Invisible, also called Transparent in the original PlayStation version, is a status in Final Fantasy Tactics. If an invisible unit attacks another unit, all of the target unit's evasion stats are ignored, whether the performed action is physical or magickal in nature. In addition, units with Invisible are ignored by the AI.
Invisible is removed whenever the affected unit performs an action other than moving or is attacked. This status only benefits player units; when an enemy unit is under the "invisible" status, the unit is still visible to the player who can commence direct attack to that unit. Invisibility is associated with the ninja class.
The Jump command causes a glitch if the attacking unit jumps on a corpse while invisible. For reasons unknown, the game will reward EXP and JP to the attacker and remove the Invisible status as normal, but forgets the target is dead.
