Inside the Ventilation Fan is a discovery sidequest in Chapter 6, "Light the Way", in Final Fantasy VII Remake, taking place in the Sector 4 Plate. While traveling to reach Section H, Tifa Lockhart spots a Summoning Materia inside the ventilation fan. Cloud Strife attempts to obtain it.
This discovery sidequest can only be completed once in normal difficulties. If a player completes it and later returns via chapter selection, the quest does not trigger. In Hard, in place of the materia, Tifa's Way of the Fist Vol. VI can be found, although the quest does not trigger.
Completing the quest, and earning the materia, unlocks the bronze trophy Cleanup Crew.
Walkthrough[]
The sidequest begins upon discovering the materia in the second fan on the right, which is done by panning the camera over to the right while crossing the fans.
Reach Section H - Sun Lamp 1 for the quest "Power for the Platform", which must be completed first. After this, return to the starting position in the southwest platform (where a vending machine and a bench are located), but instead of proceeding south, use an elevator on the west to cross a gap. Once here, climb a ladder to reach a control room, where a vending machine sells the disc "Electric de Chocobo".
Chocobo & Moogle Materia picked up.
In this room, interact with a terminal. This will open the door on the right start a one minute timer. In the room on the right are two Sentry Rays and one queen grashtrike. The former can be defeated by shooting them with Barret, while the latter should be destroyed by using 
Ice Materia spells and character abilities. Once all are defeated, use a terminal on the right end of this room. This will disable the timer and open a door through to the fan, where the Chocobo & Moogle Materia is obtained, completing the quest.
Grinding[]
The first terminal can be activated again, indefinitely, to fight the same enemies, even after getting the summoning materia. The room before has a bench and a shop, making it a safe grinding spot.
