Description

Infinity's End is an ability for Cloud in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth provided by the Crystal Sword Crystal Sword. Cloud winds up an attack and swings his sword downwards onto his enemies to deal immense damage to foes, even greater against those staggered. The ability costs two ATB charges.

Obtained[]

Infinity's End is provided by the crystal sword, and learned with use. It gains proficiency bonus when used against staggered targets.

Use[]

Infinity's End costs two ATB charges, and has a long animation, which are major downsides against most enemies. When an enemy is staggered, they are particularly vulnerable to Infinity's End, as they will be immobile and it will deal incredible damage.

Compared to abilities such as Braver, Blade Burst, or Triple Slash, Infinity's End should always be preferred against staggered foes, but never used outside of stagger, where its long animation and cost are major downsides. While Cloud is aerial, Aerial Onslaught may be preferred, but it is important to still use Infinity's End.

Certain synergy abilities, or the Stop Stop spell, can extend stagger duration to ensure Infinity's End is used. Additionally, certain party members can boost bonus damage during stagger: Tifa through her Unbridled Strength and True Strike, Aerith through her Ray of Judgment, and Cait Sith with Moogle Knuckle.

Infinity's End combines well with the Genji Gloves Genji Gloves equipped on Cloud, as they allow him to surpass the 9,999 damage limit. Combined with Prime Mode and Berserk Berserk, at high Attack Power Attack Power, Cloud can deal around 40,000 damage with Infinity's End, and even more from a critical hit. This can further be increased by aforementioned party members boosting stagger bonus damage. ATB Boost is also good for Cloud; the player can get to 1 ATB, use ATB Boost to double up to 2 ATB, and then quickly use Infinity's End.
