"Imperial Will" (帝国の意志, Teikoku no Ishi?) is a theme in Final Fantasy XIV that represents the Garlean Empire as its leitmotif. It was composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by Tsutomu Narita.

The leitmotif has also been incorporated in a number of other tracks.

"Imperial Will" accompanied the Garleans' appearances, most prominently during the cutscene where Gaius van Baelsar battled the Circle of Knowing.

It is the 98th track in Before Meteor: Final Fantasy XIV Original Soundtrack.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn[]

"Imperial Will" returns as the Garleans' theme.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward[]

"Imperial Will" plays during cutscenes with the Garleans like Varis zos Galvus and Regula van Hydrus.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood[]

The dungeon theme of The Ghimlyt Dark The Ghimlyt Dark, "A Pall Most Murderous", features the leitmotifs of "Imperial Will", "Storm of Blood", and "The Measure of His Reach". It was arranged by Yukiko Takada.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers[]

"Imperial Will" plays in the second section of the solo duty The Bozja Incident.

The leitmotif can be heard whistled by Valens van Varro in his first appearance in a cutscene.

"The Black Wolf Stalks Again" is an arrangement of "Imperial Will" by Takafumi Imamura which plays as the boss theme in the second phase against the Emerald Weapon in Castrum Marinum Castrum Marinum.

"Imperial Will" is featured as one of the leitmotifs used in "Wrath of the Harrier", the boss theme for the Diablo Armament in The Dalriada The Dalriada, arranged by Imamura. It is an arrangement of "Wrath of the Eikons", a theme heavily tied with Diabolos and a few other powerful voidsents. It also contains the "Gangos" leitmotif, prominent in Save the Queen: Blades of Gunnhildr.

"And Love You Shall Find" is a theme arranged by Masayoshi Soken which plays as the field theme of Terncliff and is a significant theme in the Sorrow of Werlyt. It features motifs from "Imperial Will" as well as "Penitus", the dungeon theme of The Praetorium The Praetorium.

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker[]

"Home Beyond the Horizon", arranged by Daiki Ishikawa, contains the "Imperial Will" leitmotif as well as the motif from Garlemald's field themes. Ishikawa also provided the vocals under the alias "Kavvus daiki Arvina". Since the capital fell into ruin, the music plays over and over again on the radios owned by the Garleans. The music is described by a Garlean refugee to be "an ode to the brave men and women sent to reclaim our ancestral homeland of Locus Amoenus".

"And Love You Shall Find" returns in this expansion and plays in Tertium and in a few cutscenes related to the Garleans.
