Imp (インプ, Inpu? or 小鬼, Kōni?, lit. Imp), also known as Trickster Imp, is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series. It is usually shown as a winged, pointy-featured creature with a tail. It is often capable of inflicting various status effects, in particular confusion.
The Garchimacera enemy in Final Fantasy VIII was localized as "Imp".

The Imp is an enemy encountered in the Mysidia area and within the Mysidian Tower. It has high Magic Defense and can inflict a variety of statuses.
Final Fantasy IV[]
The Imp is a dummied enemy. Based on its stats, it was likely meant to be encountered on or around the Red Moon.
Final Fantasy V[]
The Imp is an enemy encountered in the Great Forest of Moore and Castle Exdeath.
Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-[]
The Imp is an enemy encountered during the Abnormal Power and A Lonely Journey missions. It is a powerful enemy capable of casting Crisis Core.
Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2[]
Imp is a family of fiends capable of using powerful magic. In Final Fantasy X, capturing 4 of each regular Imp-type fiend unlocks Vidatu in the Monster Arena Species Conquest. Imps cannot Oversoul in Final Fantasy X-2.
Final Fantasy XI[]
A diminutive species of demon, frequently sighted in the Near East in recent times. Though skilled in the use of elemental and dark magic, these natural-born cowards are not considered a threat when encountered alone. The common Imp can be encountered as a regular enemy on the Silver Sea routes, Nyzul Isle, and the Silver Sea Remnants, as well as during the Supplies Recovery and Demolition Duty Assault missions.
Critical hits and weapon skills may break an Imp's horn, disabling their Tantara abilities, but allows them to use their Frenetic Rip ability. Frenetic Rip can be learned by Blue Mages.
Final Fantasy XII[]
The Imp is a species of gargoyle. They can be fought in Sochen Cave Palace, are weak against ice-based attacks and use thunder-based attacks.
Final Fantasy XIII[]
The Imp is an enemy encountered in the Fifth Ark. It is vulnerable to Fire-based damage.
Final Fantasy XIII-2[]
Imp can be encountered in the Yaschas Massif -110 AF- in the Pass of Paddra area. It resists magic and elements. The Imp can be recruited into the Paradigm Pack where it has the Synergist role, with a focus on offensive status enhancements.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
Imp generally appear near caves and dungeons, or as guildleve targets. They have an afinity for Ice-elemental magic, and are the primary source of the Ice Spikes blue magic. The common Trickster Imp (simply Imp in Japanese) can be found as a regular enemy in Spirithold in the Central Shroud, as well as during the FATEs Now I See Bees I Won and Spirithold Run.
Final Fantasy XV[]
Imp is a common daemon fought in caves of Duscae and Cleigne, and during the Sword in the Waterfall and The Trial of Ramuh Main Quests. Much stronger level 78 Imps are fought in the Balouve Mines and Steyliff Grove Menace dungeons.
