Battle
Edit
This is similar to the Liquid Flame fight, since Ifrit likes to attack the whole party with Fire magic. It is weak against Ice.
Strategy
Edit
Using equipment that mitigates Fire damage is a good idea. The Black Mages should cast Blizzara while the Mystic Knights use Blizzara Sword. If the party has acquired her, Shiva will do a fair amount of damage.
Ifrit can be one-hit killed by using the Beastmaster's Catch and Release to a unleash Mani Wizard to cast Death (which is far unavailable to the party's Black Mages at this point). Despite its effectiveness, this method is quite elaborate as it requires backtracking to the Wind Shrine, and Ifrit is not that difficult of a boss for it to be worth the effort.
