Icespark is a magic ability for Lightning in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It is a compound ability that combines the Blizzard and Thunder spells, dealing magic ice and lightning-elemental damage to a single foe. Its upgraded form is the Icesparka spell.

Icespark is one of the few magic abilities that does not have a garb exclusive version. The ability can only be obtained as a drop from the Schrodinger enemies with a 15% chance. The enemies drop different levels of the ability on the following days and difficulties:

Mechanics[]

When used, Lightning launches an lightning-infused icicle that shatters and releases multiple thunderbolts upon impact, dealing two magic ice and lightning-elemental damage attacks. By default, Icespark Lv. 1 has an ATB cost of 20, an attack power of 0.38 (0.76 in total), a Stagger Power of C, and a Stagger Time of E. When fully upgraded, Icespark Lv. 5 at max has an ATB cost of 15, an attack power of 1.74 (3.48 in total), a Stagger Power of C, and a Stagger Time of E.

The Schrodinger and Schrodinger Ω enemies are the only foes that use Icespark against Lightning.
