Ice Ring is a situational accessory, as Ice is used less frequently by enemies than Fire or Lightning. Schizo is one of the only bosses where the player can utilize the Ice Ring to the fullest, especially when paired with Fire Armlet or Elemental with Fire Materia or Ifrit, which can make the character virtually invulnerable to damage.
Ice can also be blocked or absorbed with the Aurora Armlet, Minerva Band, Tetra Elemental, or the aforementioned Elemental Materia when paired with an Ice-elemental Materia.
