Hideo-Minaba

Hideo Minaba (皆葉英夫, Minaba Hideo?) is a video game art director. He began work with Squaresoft in 1991. His first major role was field graphics design on Final Fantasy V (1992). He was the art director of Final Fantasy VI (1994), where he was responsible for the world's architecture and interiors.[1] He was later placed in charge of artistic supervision of Final Fantasy Tactics (1997). After that, he served as art director of both Final Fantasy IX (2000) and Final Fantasy XII (2006).

Minaba left Square Enix in 2004, in the middle of Final Fantasy XII's development, to form Designation, a freelance art company. He has since continued to work on the Final Fantasy series as a freelancer.
