Hi-Potion is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is the ability version of the recurring item of the same name. Hi-Potion is more potent than Potion and usually restores a moderate amount of HP.


Appearances[]

Final Fantasy VI[]

In versions succeeding the SNES version, Hi-Potion is an enemy ability used by the Dadaluma, Magic Urn, Guardian, Harvester, and Kefka, which restores 250 HP to one target.

Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-[]

Hi-Potion is an enemy ability used by the Captain, Combatant, Corporal, Ensign, Guard, Shinra Troop, Sergeant Major, Special Ops Officer, and Warrant Officer. It recovers 62.5% of the enemy's max HP.

Final Fantasy VII Remake[]

On hard difficulty, Hi-Potion is an enemy ability used by the Elite Security Officer, who uses a hi-potion to restore HP.

Final Fantasy VIII[]

Hi-Potion is an enemy ability used by Fujin (1st battle only), Raijin (2nd battle only), and Seifer (2nd battle only). It restores 1000 HP to self.

Final Fantasy X[]

Hi-Potion is an enemy ability used by Guado Guardian during the battle against Seymour. It restores 1,000 HP to one ally.

Final Fantasy X-2[]

Hi-Potion is an enemy ability used by the Blackguard, League Warrior, Lucil (Mushroom Rock Road), Ruffian, and Yaibal (Mushroom Rock Road). It restores 1,000 HP.

Final Fantasy XII[]

Hi-Potion is an enemy ability used by the Wyrdhare, Ba'Gamnan (Lhusu Mines), and Rinok (Lhusu Mines). The enemy uses a Hi-Potion to restore their HP.

Final Fantasy Tactics[]

As with all items, Hi-Potion can be used by Chemist, which restores HP to an ally or inflicts damage on an undead enemy. It is more potent than a Potion. It is learned for 200 JP, has a range of 4, and is used instantly.

A potion (from Latin potio "drink" derived from Greek poton "that which one drinks") is a consumable medicine or poison. In mythology and literature, a potion has magical properties and might be used to heal, bewitch or poison people.
