Hi-Potion is a recovery item item in Final Fantasy VII that restores 500 HP to one target. It is the upgrade to Potion and is superseded by X-Potion and Elixir. If used onto an undead target, Hi-Potion will damage them for 500 HP instead.
Early on, Hi-Potion is enough to fully restore a character's HP. Once the player reaches Costa del Sol, Hi-Potion can start replacing Potion during battle. Once the player reaches Gaea's Cliff, Hi-Potion's power will start to fall off, and the player may want to use Cure2 to heal instead, and if the player has it, White Wind. However, Hi-Potion can be used to replace Potion for healing outside of battle even towards the end of the game for cheap healing.
