Windurst Walls - Heaven's Tower

The Heaven's Tower.

In the year 328 of the Crystal Era, Heaven's Tower was constructed by order of Star Sybil Shanriri for astrological research in Final Fantasy XI. In the year 360, a giant tree that had been growing next to the tower experienced rapid growth, effectively merging with the tower as it grew forth. This tree became known as The Great Star Tree.

Heaven's Tower remains as both the focal point and spiritual symbol of the Federation of Windurst. It is home to the Star Sybil and shelters the growth of future star trees. Although access to the Star Sybil is restricted to a privileged few, other Windurstian government officials can be found on lower levels of the tower.

Etymology[]

Heaven is a common religious, cosmological, or transcendent place where heavenly beings such as gods, angels, jinn, saints, or venerated ancestors are said to originate, be enthroned, or to live. According to the beliefs of some religions, heavenly beings can descend to earth or incarnate, and earthly beings can ascend to Heaven in the afterlife, or in exceptional cases enter Heaven alive.
