Description

Healing Wind is Aerith Gainsborough's level 1 limit break in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. It heals the entire party a portion of their HP. As a limit break, it requires no ATB to use and is available since the start of the game as long as Aerith's limit gauge is full.

With Healing Wind, Aerith will place her hands together in a praying position, surrounding herself with energy. She raises her hands and engulfs herself in green wind, which encircles her and spreads around the battlefield, healing all party members. Healing Wind is also Aerith's first limit break in the original Final Fantasy VII' and in Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Use[]

Healing Wind is a good restorative command to use when in a pinch, such as after a boss's party-wide attack. Its effect is similar to but greater than Pray, but has no ATB cost. The amount healed is independent of Aerith's Magic Magic attribute (though Aerith should always be built toward magic-use, anyway).

Healing Wind remains good throughout the game, handy even in the very final battle, though Aerith's higher level limit breaks may be preferable, as her level 2, Planet's Protection, temporarily makes the party immune to many forms of damage, and her level 3, Rising Fury, lets her allies instantly use their limit breaks.

Behind the scenes[]

The animation involves Aerith kneeling and praying with her, which is the same animation as in Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake. The pose has become iconic for her for the end of Part I scene of the original Final Fantasy VII, which also serves as the ending of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
