Head for the Station and The Station are quests in Chapter 8, "Budding Bodyguard", in Final Fantasy VII Remake, taking place in the Sector 5 Slums. Having escaped the Sector 5 slums church, Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough leave to a train station by the pillar.

Walkthrough[]

Follow the linear path forward along the rooftops, with the blue arrows indicated where Cloud can jump. A moogle medal can be found in a treasure chest on the way. Moogle Medal on the Sector 5 rooftops from FFVII Remake After continuing, Aerith will stop at a gap, at which point Cloud should return to her and allow her to jump over, then proceed. After using a ladder following this, an ether can be found in a chest on the right, while the path forward is along the left.

After using a ladder up a rusting tower, a short cutscene will commence, following which the player needs to reach out to Aerith to help her up. Approach her for another cutscene. When the cutscene ends, proceed down the steps and follow the path forward. Aerith will then run in front of Cloud. After following her, the two will eventually drop down to the bottom, and after some dialogue, Aerith will join the party.

Aerith has a very high Magic Magic attribute, making her ideal to equip Magic Materia Magic Materia. She comes with Pray equipped, allowing her to use the Pray ability, restoring the party's HP. In battle, her attacks are slow, but ranged, and can hit multiple targets, and she can also charge her Tempest attack to deal more damage. Arcane Ward allows her to restore her MP.

Travel forward following the marker along the linear path. hedgehog pies and wererats are encountered, which deal moderate damage, but can heal themselves. They are weak to Ice Ice; Aerith has the Ice Materia Ice Materia equipped, and can cast it against them. At the south end, a gap in the fence leads to the station. After traveling through it, a cutscene commences and Aerith talks to an undercity resident who recognizes her. When the conversation ends, Aerith will then talk to other residents. In the northern end of the map, "Cait Sith's Theme" can be purchased from the vending machine for 50 gil, as can many items and materia. A bench can also be used to fully heal. To proceed, head right past the vending machine, where a cutscene commences, leading into the next quest, "Through the Backstreets".
