The unit's actions are hastened, increasing its Speed.
Description (The War of the Lions)
Haste is a status in Final Fantasy Tactics. Haste increases the charge time (CT) recovery rate of a unit. The speed stat for calculating CT becomes 3/2*Speed. Haste lasts for 32 clock ticks. Same as the opposing status Slow, Haste does not affect the CT of actions that do not commence instantly, including Jump. Weapon and ability whose power related to user's Speed—such as bow, dagger, ninja blade, and stealing—are also unaffected by it.
Haste is granted by various abilities, as well as by certain Auto-Haste equipment. Haste and Slow cannot coexist on the same unit, so abilities that induce one will remove and replace the other.
Another way to get turns faster is with Ramza's Tailwind or Shout, which boosts speed stat directly rather than recalculating charge time. Both can be stacked onto the same unit for superfast turn-taking.
