The Harvester is an enemy in the game Final Fantasy VI. Like most enemies in Zozo, it is very dangerous. However, it should be taken out last unless it is flanked by Gobbledygooks because the other enemies have stronger attacks. Harvesters can Throw Dirks and Mythril Knives at the party, which are lethal when levels are between 15 and 20 on their third turn. They can also use Hi-Potion to recover their HP. It is recommended to use Multi-Target abilities to take them out. Locke can steal valuable DragoonBoots from them, but they have a chance to steal some Gil if Locke tries to steal. Luckily, the party wins this GP back if they win the battle.

Battle

As with most enemies in Zozo, they are dangerous enemies to face. Harvesters use their first and third turns attacking or using the slightly stronger Sickle. On their second turn, Harvesters will use a Hi-Potion to heal themselves or allies. On their fourth turn, they throw Daggers and Mythril Knives at the party, which can be deadly.

Locke can steal valuable Dragoon Boots from them, but they will retaliate by stealing gil from the party. The party wins the gil back if they win the battle.

Strategy

The party should use their best attacks to dispatch the Harvester before they get their fourth turn. Bushido attacks, Tools, and Blitzes work well.

They are useful for farming magic in any part of the game, as they give 3 AP when killed on solo encounter, and are the easier farming method than the far more dangerous Intangir.
