Hanuman is an enemy in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII found in the Wildlands area of Rocky Crag and Temple of the Goddess. Its monster notes can be bought from Poltae after 6 PM. They always spawn with at least one Vali. Killing a staggered Hanuman gives a boost in drops; the best way to stagger it is to use Aerora when it is charging, which only happens when there are Vali around.

Etymology

[view · edit · purge]Hanuman is a Hindu deity who was an ardent devotee of Rama according to the Hindu legends. A vanara (monkey-like humanoid), Hanuman participated in Rama's war against the demon king Ravana. According to Jain texts, Hanuman is a human of vanara clan whose emblem is the monkey.
