Increases your max HP. This bonus cannot exceed +30% when more than one is equipped.

Description

HP Up materia is a Complete Materia Complete Materia in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth that increases the user's max HP by a percentage based the materia's level. HP Up materia can only stack up to +30% HP, which a fully leveled HP Up materia provides. If the player equips both HP Up and HP⇔MP Materia HP⇔MP Materia on the same character, the boost is applied to MP instead.

Though HP Up materia returns from both Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake, the much lower cap and lower HP increase make the materia functionally very different from previous titles, and discourage players equipping multiple.

Every party member should have an HP Up materia provided a materia slot is free, as it can be an important improvement to durability.

When there are fewer HP Up materia available than there are party members early on, players can choose to prioritize it either on party members who take more damage, or those who are normally more vulnerable. Aerith, Yuffie, and Tifa have the lowest HP, while Red XIII, Cloud Strife, and Barret Wallace expect to receive most damage.

Instead of using the materia, the player can use the HP Up Materia Earrings HP Up Materia Earrings accessory to free up a materia slot.
