Oh, shut up and help me remodel the HP Absorption page!
HP Absorption is a recurring effect in the Final Fantasy series. It allows the user to deal damage to one or all targets of their choosing and recover their own HP, often equal to the amount of damage dealt by the ability or a portion of the damage dealt.
The effect is most commonly seen with the Black Magic spell Drain, the Blue Magic spells Drain Touch and Vampire, the command Absorb, and various weapons of the blood equipment subclass, such as the Blood Sword and Blood Lance. HP Absorb is a support ability that adds this property to another skill.
Against undead or zombified targets, the effect tends to be reversed.
