When you want a Chocobo...

Description

Gysahl Greens, also known as Gizzard Greens when fed at the farm (PS and 1998 PC-version) is an item in Final Fantasy VII that is used for catching wild Chocobos and can heal a target for 100 HP. When used to feed stabled Chocobos, Gysahl Greens minorly boost their stats for racing and breeding.

Gysahl Green is the basic chocobo feed item in the series, named after the town of Gysahl in Final Fantasy III where the item debuted.

Obtained[]

Buy Chocobo Farm (100 gil)

Use[]

FFVII Gysahl Greens

Gysahl Greens is used to occupy a wild Chocobo for 2 turns in battle. When fed to stabled Chocobos, Gysahl Greens may increase speed, stamina, and co-operation.

Gysahl Greens give the following stat boosts to stabled Chocobos:

  • Dash +0–3
  • Run +0-2
  • Stam +0-3
  • Co-Op +1

These are low boosts, and there is a chance feeding Gysahl Greens gives "+0" to Dash, Run, or Stam. The player is better off using other greens for both catching and stat-boosting. The player could use them in lieu of Potions for healing, but Potions are cheaper than Gysahl Greens in shops.

Behind the scenes[]

The gysahl greens in Final Fantasy VII Remake have the appearance of a radish, like the Krakka Greens do in Final Fantasy VII.
