Gwen is a minor character in Final Fantasy VII Remake. She lives in the Sector 7 slums of Midgar.

History[]

In "Home Sweet Home", an angry Gwen spoke with the local Shinra officers about a cerulean drake that flew in from the train graveyard. She was annoyed by their refusal to deal with the monster, therefore asking Cloud and Tifa for help. She informed them of the drake's location at the old Talagger factory, but they required a watch security key to enter, commencing "Just Flew In from the Graveyard". Upon the pair's return, Gwen thanked them for helping and said she'd rather have a mercenary protecting the town instead of Shinra. Cloud defended the officers, offending Gwen, who responded that the town didn't need mercenaries or Shinra; they'd instead build up the watch and kick them out.[1]

After the Sector 7 plate collapsed, Gwen wasn't among the survivors refuging in Sector 6 during "A Broken World" and "In Search of Hope", leaving her fate unknown.

Characteristics[]

Appearance[]

Gwen is a middle-aged women with a slender build. She has dark skin, medium-length black hair partially shaved on the side, and brown eyes. She wears a gold necklace, a black buttoned shirt over a white shirt, a black leather belt with suspenders, rolled up patterned green shorts, and black combat boots.

Personality[]

Gwen is a headstrong woman who looks after the residents of the Sector 7 slums. She despises the Shinra Electric Power Company, believing the local officers to be incompetent and idiotic. She knows Tifa and appreciates Cloud's work, but dislikes his attitude, unsurprised that he defended the officers due to being "ex-Shinra".[1]

Gameplay[]

Gwen is a quest giver in the Sector 7 slums during Chapter 3, "Home Sweet Home", giving the "Just Flew In from the Graveyard" odd job. Annoyed by Shinra's incompetence, she tasked Cloud and Tifa with hunting a Cerulean Drake at the old Talagger factory.
