Cid Pollendina: Oh, shut up and help me remodel the Guy (Opera Omnia) page!
Please expand this article into a full one. This request can be discussed on the associated discussion page. Remove this notice upon completion.

Initially raised by wolves in the wilderness, Guy was taken in by Maria's family along with Firion. The empire's attack on Fynn spurred the youths to join the rebellion, a cause to which Guy devoted himself. A gentle, quiet young man with an imposing build, he also possesses the ability to communicate with animals.

Description

Guy is a playable character in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia who can be recruited during the event/Lost Chapter "Gentle Giant".

Characteristics[]

Appearance[]

Guy's design is based on artwork from Yoshitaka Amano. He is a tall, stocky man with a square jaw and brown hair in a mop cut. He wears armor in varied shades of blue with gold accents. On his upper torso is a powder-blue cuirass with a lavender cape. On his arms are ornate gold bracers. His pants are blue with white calves and an animal design at the waist, trimmed in gold. He also wears a pair of sabatons and carries a large single-blade axe.

Lost Chapter: Gentle Giant[]

Guy lands in the realm of the gods believing he has been tricked by Materia in respect to his allies, but still finds himself in an unfamiliar place. Before he can get acclimated to his new surroundings, however, a chocobo approaches. Guy tries to bond with the bird to find his friends, but the chocobo instead leads him into a pack of monsters that soon overwhelms both of them. During the attack, the chocobo is heavily wounded and Guy dives on top of the bird to protect it from further harm.

Mog's gang draws closer to the new territory, battling monsters as they continue their own fight for survival. Firion is shocked when he spots Guy in the distance, and rallies the party to Guy's aid. Rem and Rosa race to mend his wounds and are successful. Guy thanks the party, but is more relieved to see his family alive and well. As expected, Maria is overjoyed to be reunited with Guy, as is Firion.

Guy does not yet understand the nuances of this world, but nonetheless agrees to help the party in their quest. He remains as soft-spoken as he was back home. The others are astonished that Guy, like Krile, can communicate with animals. Maria explains that Guy was raised by a pack of wolves and had to learn to speak the human tongue later in life; thus, talking does not come naturally to him. Meanwhile, Kimahri notes some interesting parallels between himself and Guy, as both are stoic, silent guardians of their respective families. In particular, Kimahri remarks that Guy will get better at working with others as long as he continues to practice.
