Gunblade of the Sorceress was a continuous Challenge Event in Final Fantasy Record Keeper. This challenge took players through selected Final Fantasy VIII events to acquire the "Squad B" trio of Zell, Squall, and Seifer. While Seifer is the leading man, Zell received a massive difficulty drop, and Squall makes his third appearance. Players were also given the opportunity to retrieve several of the Final Fantasy VIII delegation's Memory Crystals I, with Squall also receiving a chance at his Memory Crystal II, and his Cutting Trigger Super Soul Break weapon. In global release, this event ran from November 15 to November 25, 2015 (UTC).

Just two days prior to this Event, Event Quests were added to recover Quistis and Selphie if missed, allowing players to build their Final Fantasy VIII "Dream Teams" in advance.

The main theme of Gunblade of the Sorceress was "Blue Fields" from Final Fantasy VIII.
