A new mechanical soldier guarding Eternia's Central Command. It retains Rocket Punch and Limiter Tescission, and adds Optical Camouflage to boost Evasion.

Bestiary

The Guardian is a boss in Bravely Default. It is fought as a fixed encounter down the center passage to Eternian Central Command.

Stats[edit | edit source]

Battle[edit | edit source]

The Guardian is powerful and should not be underestimated. Its Optical Camouflage will increase Evade by 50%. Limiter Rescission will decrease its P.Def by 25% and increase its P.Atk by 50%, taking its attacks from powerful to lethal. Its Rocket Punch attack, which deals heavy damage to all targets, becomes even more dangerous when used in conjunction with this ability. Every few turns, the Assist Attack ability will be used, where the party will be attacked for exactly 1500 damage each by supporting Eternian forces.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

Using the Ninja (Bravely Default) skill Utsusemi alongside the Red Mage (Bravely Default) Support Ability Turn Tables can make this fight fairly trivial. All of the attacks here are considered physical, and can be evaded with Utsusemi. Turn Tables can be used in conjunction with the aforementioned skill to gain extra BP to unleash more attacks.
