Guards sworn to protect the coal mines of Narshe. Watch out for the occasional Critical attack.

Final Fantasy VI Playstation One Bestiary entry
FFVI Narshe Guard

The Guard is an enemy in Final Fantasy VI. They usually represent the security forces of Narshe and are fought repeatedly during the opening moments of the game.

Battle

Bio Blast is best to take them out in groups, but any Magitek attack works well too. Their special attack Critical does slightly more damage than their normal attack, but with Healing Force any damage they inflict is easily restored.

AI Script

Attack Turns: 1st Turn: Attack (66%) or Critical (33%)

Trivia

  • The Guards of Final Fantasy VI make a cameo appearance in Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade, where they appear as enemies in the Snowbound Mining Town. Like all common enemies, they are instantly defeated when encountered by the player.
