The greatest danger in this fight is the creature's '''Poison Cloud 16''' attack, which affects the whole party. Also, like the White Dragon before it, the Green Dragon can be [[Blind (Status)|Blinded]] in order to avoid his powerful physical blows. Cast [[Shell (Ability)|Shell]] on everyone to dull the effect of the beast's magic and equip [[Lightning (Element)|Lightning]]-based weapons. The Green Dragon, also known as the G.Dragon, is a boss in Final Fantasy II. He is a Poison-type creature guarding a Wind Flute in a treasure chest in the Emperor's Cyclone Fortress. After defeating this monster-in-a-box, he may be seen again as a random encounter in the lower levels of the Jade Passage.

Etymology

A dragon is a legendary creature, typically with serpentine or reptilian traits, which is featured in the myths of many cultures.

Chromatic dragon is a classification of dragon in the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons who are typically of evil alignment, in contrast to the metallic dragons, and their queen is Tiamat. White, black, green, blue and red dragons are the classic chromatic dragons. Final Fantasy has derived a lot of influence from D&D, especially the early series. Green dragons are the third-most powerful of the classic chromatic dragons who are aggressive, and prefer to use magic before attacking physically.
