Great Whirlwind (大旋風 or だいせんぷう, Daisenpū?), also known as Cyclonic, Gale, and Great Gale, is a recurring enemy ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is a Wind-elemental attack commonly used by the Zu family of enemies, as well as various dragon-type enemies.

Cyclonic is an enemy ability used by Platinum Dragon, Wyvern, Galypdes, Vasegiatta, Crystal Dragon, Kaiser Dragon, Storm Dragon, Dragon Aevis, and Chimera. It reduces the party's HP to 1/16 of their current HP with a 75% hit rate and for 20 MP. It fails on targets immune to death, and the ability can be utilized by the player through Gau.
Final Fantasy VII[]
Great Gale is an enemy ability used by Zuu, Tonadu, and Blue Dragon, which inflicts Wind-elemental physical damage and Darkness to the party.
Final Fantasy XI[]
Great Whirlwind is an enemy ability that deals Wind damage to targets in front with an additional Choke effect. It is used by the Manticore family.
Final Fantasy XII[]
Gale is an enemy ability used by Bellwyvern, Dreadguard, and Dheed, which inflicts wind-elemental physical damage to all party members within a range of 4 and area of Self 3. It has a CT of 3, 75 base potency, 100% accuracy, and 100 Knockback.
