Grand Slam (グランドスラム, Gurando Suramu?), also known as Dreamcatcher, is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series. It is often a powerful throwing weapon granting high attack and other additional effects suited for offense. It is mostly associated with Wakka or Tidus.

The Grand Slam is a weapon for Wakka, obtainable if his blitzball's dominant ability is Break Damage Limit.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles[]

Dreamcatcher is the strongest weapon for the Selkie, providing 35 Strength and access to the Focus Attack Meteor Blast.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time[]

The Grand Slam is tied for the third strongest paddle, and can be used only by Selkies. It provides 135 attack at level 1 and 167 attack at level 30, gives +25 to Stun, and has one empty slot. It must be obtained from Neo Larkeicus as a drop, and then crafted for 1,880 gil by using Abyssian x3, Adamantite x3, and Giant Crab Shell x2. When turned into a jewel, a level 3-9 Grand Slam makes an Extreme Mania, level 10-19 makes an Ebonite, and level 20-30 makes a Snake Eye.

Dissidia Final Fantasy (2008)[]

The Grand Slam is a level 92 exclusive weapon for Tidus, providing +64 Attack, -38 Bravery, and BRV Boost on Dodge +15%. It can be obtained from the shop by trading 29,570 gil, Striker, Beastlord Fang x5, and Guts Crystal x3.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy[]

The Grand Slam is a level 90 exclusive weapon for Tidus, providing +65 Attack, -35 Bravery, -1 Defense, and BRV Boost on Dodge +5%. It can be obtained from the shop by trading 158,000 gil, Striker, Electrum, and Vision's Dream x5.

Grand slam is a term derived from the card game of contract bridge where it refers to a contract to win all thirteen tricks on one deal. The term also is used in various sports.
