Gold Dust (砂金, Sakin?) is a recurring item in the Final Fantasy series that can typically be sold to make gil. There are also two other items localized as "Gold Dust" but with a different Japanese name, in Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XV (see disambiguation).

Gold Dust is an item that can be sold for 15,000 gil. It is found in a treasure sphere in the Faultwarrens, and during chocobo treasure hunt. It also drops from Adamanchelids.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII[]

Gold Dust is an item that can be sold to make gil. Elmer will reward one after appraising five items after Lightning completes "Tool of the Trade", but Gold Dust is also simply found in various locations.

Etymology[]

Gold is a chemical element with the symbol Au and atomic number 79. It is a dense, soft, malleable and ductile metal with a bright yellow color and luster, the properties of which remain without tarnishing when exposed to air or water.
