Gold Cuirass (きんのむねあて or 金の胸当て, Kin no Muneate?, lit. Gold Breastplate), also known as Quartz, Topaz, Gold Plate, Golden Hauberk and Gold Breastplate, is a recurring armor in the Final Fantasy series. It is part of gold equipment.

Gold Cuirass is a high-ranked light armor that provides 22 Defense, -5% Evade, 5% Magic Defense, and -1 Intelligence/Spirit. It can be bought for 1,000 gil at Fynn, dropped from Sorcerer, or found as treasure at Castle Fynn (Basement) and Paul's House.

Etymology[]
Gold is a chemical element with the symbol Au and atomic number 79. It is a dense, soft, malleable and ductile metal with a bright yellow color and luster, the properties of which remain without tarnishing when exposed to air or water.
