Gold Apple, also known as Golden Apple, is a recurring item in the series.

Final Fantasy[edit | edit source]

Golden Apple is an item that raises max HP by 10. It can be found in Lifespring Grotto (x4) and Whisperwind Cove (x10) or dropped from Marilith.

Final Fantasy IV[edit | edit source]

Golden Apple is an item that permanently increases max HP by 100. It can be found in Sylph Cave, Lunar Path, Lunar Subterrane, and Lunar Ruins (Cecil's Trial, Fruit Basket set, Lunar Ruins), dropped by Clockwork Dragon, Golden Toad, Golden Flan, and Elite Trooper, or as a reward for completing the Lair of the Father B1, B2, and B3 maps (x1 each, 3D). Golden Apples do not appear in the North American SNES release.

Golden Apple is an item that permanently increases max HP by 100. It can be found in Kain's Challenge Dungeon, Agart Subterrane.

Etymology[edit | edit source]

The golden apple is an element that appears in various national and ethnic folk legends or fairy tales. Recurring themes depict a hero retrieving the golden apples hidden or stolen by a monstrous antagonist. Alternatively, they are depicted as divine food and the source of immortality in Norse mythology.
