God's Wrath (神の怒り, Kami no Ikari?) is a phenomenon from Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It is a sandy tornado in the Dead Dunes which stays in place and cause grief to the local group of bandits, Monoculus.
Story[]
At an unknown point of the time, a tornado appeared in the central part of the Dead Dunes occuring in a single point. Adonis hires Lightning to quell the sandstorm, which she can do by activating a glyph. Adonis is impressed by Lightning's prowess and believes her claim of being the savior. As Lightning passed the test, Adonis takes her to Ruffian to see the boss of Monoculus.

Etymology[]
Divine retribution is a general term for "God's wrath", "wrath of God", and "divine wrath". Divine retribution is a supernatural punishment of a person, a group of people, or all humanity by a deity in response to some human action. Many cultures have a story about how a deity exacted punishment on previous inhabitants of their land, causing their doom.
