The God's Hand is a weapon for Tifa in Final Fantasy VII. It can be obtained by defeating the Carry Armor. God's Hand is the strongest well-rounded weapon for Tifa overall below her ultimate weapon, Premium Heart. It is also one of three weapons in the game that provides 255% accuracy, granting Tifa a perfect hit rate when she uses the weapon.

God's Hand has solid stats all around, and four linked Materia slots. As with all of Tifa's gloves, it cannot be thrown, and as with most, provides a boost to her critical hit rate. It sells for 1 gil.

Obtained[]

God's Hand is obtained by defeating the Carry Armor in the Underwater Reactor during "Clash in the Deep Sea".

Mechanics[]

God's Hand's most notable stat is its 255 Attack% (accuracy), meaning it has a perfect hit rate. The weapon also has a base Attack stat bonus of 84, meaning the base damage for physical attacks when the God's Hand is equipped is in the following formula:

where "Level" is Tifa's current level and "Strength" is her Strength stat. In addition, God's Hand provides a +34 boost to Tifa's Magic stat.

God's Hand is a well-rounded weapon for Tifa with a perfect hit rate, and her strongest weapon below Premium Heart. As well as its 255 accuracy, it has a strong Attack and Magic stat, meaning it is versatile for any use (although Tifa is better built towards physical damage than magical damage, due to her high Strength and multi-hit Limit). God's Hand also has four linked Materia slots, which is rare for Tifa, as her weapons normally have unlinked slots.

God's Hand has two lots of two linked Materia slots. However, because Tifa is better built towards physical damage than magical damage, the slots are still better given to Independent Materia or Command Materia. Some Command Materia can benefit from Support Materia—such as Added Cut, HP Absorb, or Sneak Attack—which benefit from the linked slots. Though Magic Materia and Summon Materia are better used on other characters, Tifa can nonetheless use them effectively on God's Hand.

Though God's Hand is a well-rounded weapon with 255% accuracy, in certain situations, Tifa's other weapons are more powerful. Powersoul is better used when level grinding to improve Materia due to its double AP growth, and Master Fist has a higher potential damage output, albeit in certain situations. Additionally, aside from lacking the 255% accuracy, Premium Heart outclasses God's Hand in every other respect in terms of stats, Materia slots, and damage output.

God's Hand can be used efficiently with Deathblow due to its 255% accuracy, meaning Deathblow is far more likely to hit, and thus can be more efficient than using Tifa's normal attack, unless she is instead using a Command Materia, such as Slash-All or Double Cut. Deathblow can further be linked with Added Cut to get two potential hits for one turn. If the player has two Deathblows, the other could be linked to Sneak Attack on the other pair of slots.
