The Goblin Healer is an enemy monster in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, and a variation of the Goblin.
Strategy[]
Goblin Healers cannot attack, but they can easily make any fight they participate in much more difficult. They continuously cast the White Wind spell, healing any wounded combatant in its area of effect (this includes Layle, as well as the enemy monsters). All foes in the fight are smart enough to know to seek help from the Goblin Healer when they are in trouble, so it is best to take care of it first.
Picking up a Goblin Healer allows Layle to force the Goblin to use his healing spell on the player. Goblin Healers can also deflect objects Layle throws at them with their staves, so the only way to damage them is by attacking with direct kinetic attacks.
Etymology[]
A goblin is a small, mischievous creature found in many European folk tales and legends. The word "goblin" comes from the Norman French word Gobelinus, the name of a ghost that haunted the town of Évreux in the 12th century.
