Goblin Guard in Final Fantasy (PSP).

Goblin Guard (ゴブリンガード, Goburingādo?), also known as GrIMP and G.Goblin, is a recurring enemy in the series.

Final Fantasy

Goblin Guard is an enemy fought around the world map near the Chaos Shrine, Pravoka, and Earthgift Shrine, as well as inside the Chaos Shrine and Cavern of Earth. They are stronger than the basic Goblin, but are still weak foes and should not pose a problem to the player.

Final Fantasy II

Goblin Guard is an enemy fought around Semitt Falls and Salamand, attacking with the Bow I skill. They are exceptionally weak, however, and should pose no threat to the player.

Etymology

A goblin is a small, mischievous creature found in many European folk tales and legends. The word "goblin" comes from the Norman French word Gobelinus, the name of a ghost that haunted the town of Évreux in the 12th century.
