The Goblin is an enemy in Final Fantasy XIII-2. They are often seen in groups with others of their kind or with Goblin Chieftains.
Datalog[]
The goblins that inhabit the Archylte Steppe of Pulse are highly intelligent carnivores who lay traps for their prey and hunt in packs. For this reason, they are a direct threat to the hunters who also live off the plains.
Climate change can cause a decline in prey and force the goblins to wander closer to human settlements in search of food. They love a good fight and like to pounce on unwary humans. We recommend staying in large groups when traversing goblin-infested lands.
Stats[]
Battle[]
Goblins' strength lies in numbers and the bonus to their power that Goblinhancement gives them. Goblins will ordinarily only use Goblin Punch after their stats have been boosted by a Chieftain's Goblinhancement.
Any Goblin still around and without the effects of Goblinhancement will quickly use Rise to Power in order to upgrade themselves into a new Goblin Chieftain. Goblins transformed into Chieftains give CP, gil, and items as a Chieftain would, so a player may be interested in allowing multiple goblins to promote themselves in order to gain more rewards.
Paradigm Pack[]
The Goblin is a Commando. Its Feral Link, Goblin Rush, deals physical damage to a target. It is a fragile and rather weak Commando. It may reach around 400 Strength with the right Materials, but with less then 2000 HP, the Goblin is less then optimal.

goblin is a small, mischievous creature found in many European folk tales and legends. The word "goblin" comes from the Norman French word Gobelinus, the name of a ghost that haunted the town of Évreux in the 12th century.
