Gobli is a non-playable character in Final Fantasy XIV. He is a Mezcal distiller of Wachunpelo and is considered a master of the craft.
History[]
To prepare to negotiate with Gobli, Mablu suggested Wuk Lamat and the Warrior of Light to look for information that they could use as cards in negotiations. After investigating, they discovered three gossips: a chef's aversion to strong spirits, Gobli's looming palace invitation, and the monster threat in the agave fields. When Gobli brusquely refused their sack of premium mate leaves, Mablu first lamented the chef's plight and that tea could be served to customers in place of mezcal, then hinted at Gobli's need to impress the court recommending Bol Noq' as a weaver to make garments for him to wear on the visit, and finally threatened to dispatch the creatures besieging Agave Jaws. Convinced by the combined value of alternative refreshments, proper court attire introductions, and a monster-clearing service, Gobli sealed the deal: he handed over a three-year-old jug of his finest mezcal in exchange.[1]
