The Glasya Labolas is a Soul of Rebirth enemy from Final Fantasy II. A relative of the Gigas, and inspired by the Final Fantasy III monster, it is a thuggish brute and has high Attack power and HP. In addition, it has no elemental affinity and thus no weaknesses to exploit. The player may encounter them in the Unknown Cave with only Minwu and Scott, posing an easily-fatal challenge. Using Minwu's Blink spell is highly recommended against these monsters.

Etymology[]
In demonology, Glasya-Labolas is derived from one of Goetia's demons, the mighty President of Hell who commands thirty-six legions of demons. He is depicted as a dog with the wings of a griffin. He is mentioned in the 17th century Grimoire, The Lesser Key of Solomon.
