Use[]

Glare deals moderate damage to a single target. Starting from level 72, Glare functions as the White Mage's primary method of inflicting direct damage to a single target for Shadowbringers content, while also used in early Endwalker content.

For the White Mage's opening DPS rotation at the start of a boss encounter, the player should start off with an initial Glare and Dia Dia cast, followed by using Presence of Mind Presence of Mind to unleash several Glare casts until the spell speed increase effect wears off. The player should also attempt to weave their Assize Assize OGCD action before or after the Presence of Mind Glare casts, to deal a large amount of damage and to restore lost MP from the opener.

After the opening portion of a boss encounter, players should attempt to perform Glare at any opportune time when healing is not required. When fighting regular dungeon bosses, players should also attempt to weave in their Afflatus Misery Afflatus Misery OGCD action during their Glare casts.

Once the player reaches White Mage level 82, Glare automatically upgrades to Glare III Glare III and is no longer usable outside of content synced below level 82.
