Ginko and Kinko are characters in Final Fantasy XIV. They are vulpine Auspices found in Yanxia. Ginko and Kinko both serve Tamamo Gozen, and appear in FATEs related to her.
History[]
After young Ginko left offerings for Tamamo Gozen, a Namazu group stole the offerings while Ginko was tending the altars. Fearing the wrath of her mistress, Ginko asked for an adventurer's help to retrieve the offerings. Meanwhile, Kinko is pursued and cornered by a group of Onmyoji from Koshu, who have tried to capture Kinko to use her in a ritual. With the help of an adventurer she manages to escape.
In fox form, Ginko and Kinko can only observe when the Onmyoji discover that Tamamo was in the form of the Mikuzume. Tendo, the leader of the Onmyoji, captures Mikuzume and awakens Tamamo's power that was slumbering, but is killed by her. Tamamo goes out of control in her original form. The adventurer who had helped them earlier confronts Tamamo trying to calm her down. After the confrontation, Tamamo returns unconscious to Mikuzume's form, and Ginko and Kinko take her away to be nursed.
