Description
Gil Up materia is a 
Complete Materia in Final Fantasy VII Remake and "Episode INTERmission". When equipped, it doubles the amount of 
Gil enemies drop.

A Gil Up materia is obtained by beating the "Two-Person Team vs High Flyers" challenge in the Shinra Combat Simulator within the Shinra Building, first available in Chapter 16, "The Belly of the Beast".
In "Episode INTERmission", Gil Up is the reward for scoring 30,000 points in the Shinra Box Buster minigame in SOLDIER Training course.

Gil Up materia doubles the amount of gil looted from enemies after defeating them. Because gil in Final Fantasy VII Remake is scarce in a first playthrough, this makes it a useful materia to equip on any character with a spare slot, though the materia is available very late into the game. It is less useful in subsequent playthroughs. It is not very useful in "Episode INTERmission", as the player likely has enough gil and the party's materia slots are better off used for something else.
