Gigas Armlet is an armor in Final Fantasy VII that provides 59 Defense and +30 Strength. It provides a single Materia slot and four Materia slots in linked pairs. Materia slotted to the Gigas Armlet will gain no AP.
Out of all armor pieces in the game, the Gigas Armlet provides the greatest Strength boost.

The first chance to obtain the Gigas Armlet is after defeating the Demons Gate at the Temple of the Ancients during "Within the Temple of the Ancients". Additional others must be stolen from Gigas, which after a certain point the player can no longer encounter even in the Battle Square.

Gigas Armlet offers decent Defense at the stage of the game it can be obtained, but no magic defense and no Materia growth. The main draw is the Strength boost, which the player can utilize in conjunction with accessories such as the Curse Ring and Champion Belt to further increase the wearer's Strength. Gigas Armlet can be valuable on the Battle Square.

Gigas is a Greek word meaning "giant", originally used to describe the race of Gigantes in Greek mythology and is used in the scientific name, as the specific epithet, of hundreds of species of animals and dozens of plant species to denote their size.
