Gigantoad (ギガントード, Gigantōdo?), also known as G. Toad, GiganToad, Gigan Toad or CaveToad, is a recurring subgroup of Toad enemies with frequent appearances throughout the series after its first one in Final Fantasy II. It commonly uses Poison attacks.
Appearances
Final Fantasy II
Gigantoad is fought in the world map's Great Desert areas, the Deist Cavern and Mysidia Cave. Its attacks may inflict Poison damage.
Final Fantasy III
Gigantoad is fought in a scripted battle in the sewers of Amur. They are easily defeated using Lightning attacks, and is a relatively weak enemy.
Final Fantasy IV
Gigantoad is fought early on in the game in the Underground Waterway. It can cast Toad, which can inflict the Toad status. As it is weak to Ice, it can easily be defeated with Blizzard spells.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years
Gigantoad reappeared in various different stories.
