Gigantoad (ギガントード, Gigantōdo?), also known as G. Toad, GiganToad, Gigan Toad or CaveToad, is a recurring subgroup of Toad enemies with frequent appearances throughout the series after its first one in Final Fantasy II. It commonly uses Poison attacks.

Gigantoad is fought in the world map's Great Desert areas, the Deist Cavern and Mysidia Cave. Its attacks may inflict Poison damage.

Final Fantasy III[edit | edit source]

Gigantoad is fought in a scripted battle in the sewers of Amur. They are easily defeated using Lightning attacks, and is a relatively weak enemy.

Gigantoad is fought early on in the game in the Underground Waterway. It can cast Toad, which can inflict the Toad status. As it is weak to Ice, it can easily be defeated with Blizzard spells.

Gigantoad reappeared in various different stories.

Gigantoad was fought in the southern continent on the world map in the World of Ruin.

Gigan Toad is fought in Qu's Marshes. It can provide Frog Drop to Quina when Eaten.

Gigantoad appears as Doomed enemy variant, an undead creature.

Gigantoad is a beast and toad enemy fought in the Garamsythe Waterway and during the rain time on Giza Plains. When appearing in the latter, it is fought when jumping out of swamps or bushes.

Gigantoad is a Toad enemy, part of the Wavekin.

Gigantoad is a beast enemy fought in Duscae and Cleigne during rainy weather between 04:00 and 20:29. It can also be fought during a Sidequest The Professor's Protégé - Gigantoad (Sania).

Gigan Toad is an Ice-like toad enemy found in Conall Curach and Veo Lu Sluice. It has the rare drop of Toad Oil, which is used to craft the time resistant armors. It also can drop most of the universal random loot, like Rainbow Grapes and Alloy.

Giant Toad is a boss fought at the Ice Mountain.

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest[edit | edit source]

Giant Toad is an enemy fought at Wintry Cave, capable of inflicting the Poison status to party members with its Poison Fluid attack.
