Giant Soldier

The Giant Soldier (巨(きょ)人(じん)兵(へい), Kyojinhei?, lit. Giant Soldier), also known as the Armor Construct or MacGiant, is a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in Final Fantasy IV. It is typically a variant of the Iron Giant.

The Giant Soldier, also known as the MacGiant or Armor Construct, appears as an enemy encountered in the Giant of Babil, as well as within the Lunar Ruins bonus dungeon exclusive to the Advance and Complete Collection releases. It typically has no abilities, but in the 3D remakes it will counter with Electromagnetic Radiation whenever it is hit with lightning, inflicting Stop on a random party member.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years

The Armor Construct returns as an enemy encountered in the Subterrane. It will counter any magical attack with Self-Destruct, so it is advised to only use physical attacks on them. One Armor Construct appears as a monster-in-a-box that rewards a Ribbon.
