Giants (ジャイアント, Jaianto?, ギガース, Gigāsu?, or 巨人, Kyojin?), also known as Gigas or Gigant, are a recurring enemy type in the Final Fantasy series. It is comprised of various humanoid enemies of typically gigantic stature, including their namesake giants and gigas, ogres, and sometimes even diminutive cousins like goblins. The Ogrekiller is a recurring weapon that deals increased damage to giant-type enemies.
The common Giant or Gigas, also known as the Colossus, is a somewhat rare enemy in the family. While a moderately dangerous enemy when it appears, it is often the first and weakest enemy of its type encountered.

Final Fantasy XIV[]
Gigants (巨人, Kyojin?) are a species of giant humanoid spoken hailing from Abalathia's Spine. While they tower over most other spoken, gigants are relatively lacking in intelligence. In Eorzea, Gigants are divided into three dominant tribes: the Gigas (ギガース, Gigāsu?), the Giants (ジャイアント, Jaianto?), and the Hecatoncheires (ヘカトン, Hekaton?). In Tural, another tribe of Gigant, the Yok Huy, once held an empire in Urqopacha.
The gigas are relatively more intelligent than their primitive brethren, and have historically subjugated their giant and hecatoncheir cousins as slaves, and centuries ago sold the hecatoncheirs to Ul'dah to work their mines. In modern days however, most giants and hecatoncheires are broken free of servitude, and the three tribes are in constant conflict with each other. Gigas appear to worship the recently unearthed Crystal Tower, with many of their recently deceased found by scholars to have been carrying crude statuettes approximating the tower.
Final Fantasy X-2[]
The Gigas is an enemy found in the Fiend Haunt, Bikanel, Ruin Depths, and Cloisters 30 to 32 of the Via Infinito. It uses the Ogre's model from Final Fantasy X.
Final Fantasy X-2: Last Mission[]
Final Fantasy XVI[]
Gigas resemble large, obese goblins, wielding large weapons and possessing surprising agility given their size and stature. Despite their association with goblins, it is disputed in-universe whether the two are the same species. The common Gigas appears as the first boss of the game in Stillwind, summoned by a Goblin leader to attack Clive, Wade, and Tyler. It later appears as a regularly occurring mini-boss.
Final Fantasy Type-0[]
Gigas is a Golem-class Eidolon. It can be obtained by completing the mission Expelling the Empire on Officer difficulty.

The Gigas is an enemy encountered at Selepation Cave for all cycles. Despite being one of the stronger monsters of Selepation Cave, the Gigas can be easily defeated with a powerful Fire spell.
