Ghast is an undead/zombie-type enemy from Final Fantasy XII. Two versions of the enemy exist; even if they are both on the same level and have the same drops, they have different stats. One version is summoned by the Rare Game Negalmuur that appears in the corridor in the Ward of the Sword King after the player has spent 30+ minutes in the Stilshrine and killed the Darkmare. The other version simply rises out of the ground when approached. Ghast has Paramina Crossbow as a rare steal in the original version, replaced with a Gold Needle in the Zodiac versions.
Ghasts when spawned by the Negalmuur is part of an auto-leveling trick (see Negalmuur article for details).

Page 1: Observations[]
- A sort of zombie, infamous far and wide for its ill-favored appearance, and savage demeanor. It is rumored that this creature first appeared in a fairy tale, and that the story somehow made its way into a grimoire, the very act of transcribing the words therein thence giving life to the creature known as the ghast. The truth behind this rumor, and the power of words, are currently topics of much study amongst scholars of the annals of our history.
